At C & C Legal, we want to exceed value for money and do our best to service clients cost efficiently and effectively, without detracting from their right to quality legal advice. We firmly believe that not every type of work should be charged on a time cost basis. We are willing to set pricing structures to suit the work to be undertaken. We use one or a combination of the following ways to charge professional fees: Fixed-fee If at the outset, certainty of the nature or scope of work is fairly clear, our fees can be fixed. Clients can be absolutely certain about what the work will cost them. Examples:
Where possible, we can agree to "cap" our fees in light of the value of a transaction or outcome achieved. Under no circumstances would we charge on a speculative basis. Periodic retainer arrangements For a periodic fee, you can seek our advice on relevant legislative information, assistance with drafting documents, legal representation up to and including resolution for most common issues, disputes, etc. and a set number of hours for training. Time cost billing Where the scope of work or attitude of the other parties cannot be reasonably predetermined, billing on a time-costed basis often works out best in the mutual interests of the client and the lawyer. It ensures that clients do not pay too much for service and also ensures that service is provided cost effectively, without fear or favour. In giving fee estimates, we promise to listen carefully in order to give regard to critical matters to be resolved within the client's budget. Please contact us for an obligation free discussion.
